THE NCDA ANNUAL EVENT is a gathering of the state's dance community which includes master classes, seminars, discussions and performances presented by North Carolina artists, administrators, educators and advocates. Also held during the Annual Event are NCDA's membership meeting, scholarship auditions and the presentation of the NCDA Annual Award. Student and group discounts are available. The 2012 Annual Event will be held at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro on the weekend of October 19-21, 2012


Event Opportunities
We are now accepting applications for Annual Event teachers and Showcase choreographers. The deadline for all applications is MARCH 5, 2012.

Teach:
Seeking dance teachers of all dance disciplines. Propose your dance class, lecture/demo, panel or roundtable discussion. To fill out the Teaching Application form, go HERE

Show your work:
Seeking choreographers to show work in two NCDA Showcases. Both shows will take place during the NCDA Annual Event, the weekend of October 19-21, 2012, at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

NCDA Choreographers Showcase
This concert will feature professional dance artists and the work of the 2012 NCDA Choreography Fellow. All choreographers must be current members of NCDA and professional dance artists not currently enrolled in a college degree program. We encourage choreographers of all dance forms to apply. NCDA Youth & College Showcase
This concert will feature both Youth and College works, and there is a separate application form for each type.
Youth submissions: All choreographers must be current members of NCDA. All performers must be age 18 and under. Choreographers may be any age and can be from private studios, private K-12 dance programs or public K-12 dance programs. We encourage choreographers of all dance forms to apply. College submissions: All choreographers must be current members of NCDA. Undergraduate and Graduate students who are currently enrolled in a college or university dance program at the time of application are eligible to apply.
